The Middle Passage

I’m not done here.
And yet I’m being told
there’s somewhere else I must go.

Life nudges me forward though,
I’m no longer driven from without.

All of the calling seems
to be coming from within.

Voices are urging me:

– Wait patiently.
– Take three deep breaths.
– Look around you. Isn’t life perfect?
– There’s nothing you must do.
– There’s much you will do.
– Listen for the sound of water.
– Now go to the source.

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
