Favorite Poem

All together now...

Please,
help me write this poem.
I'm not certain
how to begin,
or where to find
the very first line.

That first line
is the baited hook
that catches a great fish,
and the second
is a tiny boat
set loose in open water.

The third,
the fourth,
the fifth,
tell the story
in a lyrical song.

The sixth and seventh
bring the boat
back to safe harbor
right before the sunset.

And the eighth
is simply a kiss
before bedtime.
