One Thousand

One Thousand

Time to celebrate!

One thousand published poems,
set aside are even more,
and still my words continue gushing
from a bottomless spring
deep inside the profound silence
accompanying me along the dark pathway
where everything I've known
must be forgotten,
and everything I've gained
must be lost,
as a voice calls out
from within the wilderness:

I am your soul.
Hear me roar!

Don't wash a wound with blood.

telling you who they think you are.
