Sea of Tranquility

The soul's frontier.

There is a sea with no shores.
The star sailors call this Tranquility.
It lies just beyond awakening
and no one is sure how to get there.

If you want to go
some will tell you to find a guide,
many will point this way or that,
and others will pour you a drink adding:
It's not worth finding.

Trust those you know have glimpsed it.
They will speak of the bitter and the sweet
with the very same awe and reverence.

Then watch as both sadness and joy
turns them into the salt water
you may follow into the sea.
