Sinusitis

Sinusitis

...ya know it if you've had it.

Half of me is inflamed
while the other half is wondering
what the hell's the matter.

I thought fire burned evenly,
but it's become obvious enough
this crazy world is filled
with unevenly charred matchsticks
and half-baked human beings.

Like a pair of glasses missing a lens
I'm having trouble finding my focus
or even knowing what to look upon.

And just as fog spills
haphazardly into a valley,
so too does the cement
hardening in my head.

Life is better when your sinuses are clean,
when your arteries are clean,
and when your digestive tract is clean.
~ James Altucher
