Good Fortune
Good Fortune
...is being here, now.
If you see me
would you remind me
of my good fortune
at being born here and now
in this time and place
and not at some other?
And please help me
to appreciate my experiences,
as well as all those things
unique within my manifestation
of human being.
It's so easy
for me to drift away
into the hollow longing
for another time and place.
But the real gift within my soul
is the presence to be here
now and forever.
It is we that are blind,
not fortune.
