Divine Mystery

Divine Mystery

...comes special delivery.

I had a plan for this poem,
along with some wise words
which seemed to have come
from another dimension,
right into the thin air
I am breathing.

But that poem was not to be,
supplanted by this one,
existing more in the milieu
of a day starting too early,
already fraught with worry.

What could it be
which sets in motion
such negative thoughts?

Now I hear a whisper
urging me to go with the flow,
and to receive divine mystery
as the very first delivery
of my waking day.

Each time dawn appears,
the mystery is there in its entirety.
