A Blessing
A Blessing
...in this present moment.
At times it frightens me
how quickly I lose my faith.
But then it comes rushing back
in the notes of a beloved song
I know I won't ever forget.
Often it's something in the moment
that sends me headlong into tomorrow,
a magical place where I expect freedom
from all those things I worry about.
The problem with living in the future
is that it quickly enslaves today,
snatching away this present moment,
before I can experience it fully
and know its true blessing.
You must live in the present,
launch yourself on every wave,
find your eternity in each moment.
