Poetic Justice

Poetic Justice

...without a moral objective.

It would be poetic justice
if I were to leave the onlookers,
stepping into a frightening scene,
and begin walking the road called
An Ordinary Life.

It would be poetic justice
if doing something yet again
sent my spirits soaring
as though it was my very first
or second revelation of being.

It would be poetic justice
if I began to know my role
as the birds and bees know theirs
within this mysterious saga,
too complex to be understood
through a single perspective.

It would be poetic justice
if I let the moment go by,
waiting for my feelings to pass
before taking any action
or making any judgments.

It would be poetic justice
for me to live and die
without any worry
of love lasting forever,
or of my coming and going.

There may be more poetry than justice
in poetic justice.
