Let's Weep
Let's Weep
...until we laugh.
The God who loves you
also makes you weep;
makes all of us weep.
So let's weep
along with the rain
which cleanses this Earth,
swelling the seeds of change
so they may burst forth
and bloom with fruit
of infinite color.
Let's weep big salty tears
at each death,
let's weep with joy
at each birth,
let's weep until we discover
life is circular.
Let's weep in solidarity
with those who are suffering.
Then let our tears come together
into oceans of love and compassion.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart,
and you shall see that in truth you are weeping
for that which has been your delight.
~ Khalil GibranCome away, O human child:
To the waters and the wild with a fairy,
hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping
than you can understand.
~ William Butler YeatsIt's still scary every time I go back to the past.
Each morning, my heart catches.
When I get there, I remember how the light was,
where the draft was coming from,
what odors were in the air.
When I write, I get all the weeping out.
