The Blue Pill

The Blue Pill

...of forgetfulness

I'm lookin'
and she's lookin',
you're lookin',
and he's lookin',
all of us are lookin'
for some way out
of the straight jacket
confining us to a life
of financial slavery,
while lookin' for a way off
this bullet train to oblivion,
and lookin' for a way into
meaningful relationship
with mother Earth,
with father Time,
with sister Moon,
and brother Sun.

We're lookin'
for something real,
something we can hold,
something sweet and sour,
beyond any consciousness,
only glimpsed in our dreams,
yet still awake in our souls
which for way too long
have been buried alive -

since the day we swallowed
the blue pill of forgetfulness.

This your last chance. After this there is no turning back. You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember, all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more.
