A Good Seat
A Good Seat
...at the table of life.
Make me a reservation
for a seat at the table,
a ticket so I can tag along.
I want to go with.
For so long I've been without,
and didn't even know it.
I once thought
I could do everything
on my own time,
and in my own way.
Now my time is too precious,
and so too is belonging,
being part of something greater.
And let's not forget to save room
for everyone else also out there lost,
lonely and languishing in the cold.
I had therefore to remove knowledge,
in order to make room for belief.
