Jubilee

Jubilee

The year at the end of seven cycles.

It's time for a Jubilee.
Wouldn't you agree?

I'll bet it's been
a millennium or longer
since our last one.

Jubilee is a celebration,
a time to let go completely
of all that's holding us back,
while allowing breathing space
in which everyone is set free
to manifest those divine gifts,
passionately calling each of us
to become who we're meant to be.

Jubilee reminds us
this world is not rational
and our enlightenment
must not confine us
within our limited senses,
deep inside an ivy prison
built to enshrine our knowing.

Jubilee is the name
for a universal God who
creates light in the darkness,
strikes a chord in the silence,
wets our lips with wine,
reminds us to forever
dance,
Dance,
DANCE!

I was once like you, 'enlightened', 'rational',
I too scoffed at lovers.
Now I am drunk, crazed thin with misery -
No-one's safe! Watch out!
