A pandemic is
a pointed reminder
there's little time
for us to be bitter
and stew in our anger;
righteous or indignant,
it does not matter.
A pandemic is
not the best time
for despair and dread,
but rather for acceptance.
It's a chance to see life
from a new perspective,
and then to move forward
through cooperative efforts.
A pandemic puts
the brakes on the pushing
toward a punishing probability,
and swiftly changes the narrative
to that of peaceful possibility.
