Sanity
Sanity
...is breath, warmth and space.
High ceilings send spirits soaring
and create brighter interiors.
Low ceilings keep the heat close
for those cold and dark days
when the weather outside
matches my inner thoughts.
Allow me to step forward
and share my gratitude
for this precious space,
my ceramic heater,
and for this moment
to be become present
as I am able.
Whatever breath and warmth
I create and will allow within,
becomes a factor in the sanity
upon which I've come to depend.
I hope for peace and sanity - it's the same thing.
