An Open Stillness

An Open Stillness

...invites new voices.

Be patient with people.

The voice steering him
is his own voice,
and the voice guiding her
belongs to her.

Before we can follow,
let alone hear any other voice,
a profound silence must descend,
bringing us into an open stillness.

Silence is the space where
this world takes new form,
and is also where our voice
gathers the wisdom and power
to guide us faithfully.

...bring us some good tidings of silence beyond
any silence you have already heard.
