Tomorrow Could Be Wonderful

There may be uncertainty
in your daily prayers.
But from your resilience
comes a greater forgiveness,
the power of which lies
not in brute strength,
but in peaceful surrender
to the dark and to the light.

Tomorrow could be wonderful
and absolutely nothing,
not your fear and anger,
not even your resentment
at knowing your powerlessness,
will temper the joy you feel
in becoming truly alive.

Today you are you!
That is truer than true!
There is no one alive
who is you-er than you!
Dr. Seuss

This poem has been adapted and was originally shared on March 9, 2017. The title struck me as wonderfully optimistic, and so I also made it the title of Tomorrow Could Be Wonderful: Brian's Poem of the Day: 365 Daily Meditations Vol. 1.
