Allow the Spirits
Who do you thank
when things go well?
And who do you blame
when things go awry?
Mirror, mirror on the wall...
Maybe wait,
just a minute longer
before pointing that finger.
There are all kinds of spirits
holding and helping you,
hurting and hindering you,
floating about in the breeze
and carried forth by your breath.
Let go and reach out!
Allow the spirits
to move and to stretch
their long arms and legs,
so they may dance wildly
with kindred souls.
“Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.”
