Experience Your Truth

I used to know all kinds
of clever aphorisms and pithy sayings.
But I’ve abandoned most of them,
as they now seem a bit trite.

Consider that old saying,
Seeing is believing.
Maybe it sounds obvious,
but not at a time when believing
has become so nebulous a concept.

Who cares what I believe?
Wouldn’t you rather I speak from my heart
and tell you what I’ve experienced to be true?

I saw this then that.
I saw that then this.
