Hold Steady

Hold steady.

This will be my mantra -
at least for today.

I’m already behind the pace,
my usual busy pace.
The rain and my worries
are slowing me down.

There isn’t even time
for me to count everything
I’d like to accomplish
before nightfall.

But first things first.
I’ve been awake for hours
and haven’t eaten anything.

Steady as it goes...

Lord, I’m going to hold steady on to You and You’ve got to see me through.
Harriet Tubman
