Home Base

When I came home searching
for answers to my problems,
I wished to be elsewhere.

But –

Home is where you go for truth,
and not for easy explanations.

Home is where you are shown
everything you pray to avoid seeing.

Home is where your story begins,
and most assuredly it will end.

Home programmed you
and knows your hot buttons.

Home is the very place
you always wanted to be from.

Home is where you must return
to find the way forward.

My task is to build bridges.
So please allow my words
to narrow the gap between
you and your home.

It’s the rookies who laugh only when they win.
