Pure Comedy

Hold still a second.

Where are you?
What are you doing?

I'm guessing
there's something absurd
about this moment we're sharing.

What comes to mind
are all the miles I've driven
for little or no reason,
and all the words I've used,
when staying home
and remaining silent
would've saved me,
along with everyone else,
a lot of effort and frustration.

I took my life seriously
as I was told to do.

But I'm starting to see
my life as a comedy.

What about you?

London is too full of fogs and serious people. Whether the fogs produce the serious people, or whether the serious people produce the fogs, I don’t know.
