In Movement

In Movement

Listen to the stillness.

If you would be moved by love,
please begin.
Show us the gyrations
of a man,
of a woman,
walking, spinning, floating
in that liminal space
called uncertainty.

Show us
that we may know
what it looks like
to move with courage
and a fragile faith
towards the abiding love
surrounding and linking
everything together.

If you would be moved by fear,
hold still.
There is no action
demanded by your fear,
only careful attention
to what it tells you
so that when its grip loosens
you may again be moved
by love.

The dance is a poem
of which each movement is a word.
