The Story

...as it is written.

Every story begins
with an invitation to pause,
suspend what we're doing
and to travel further
into another dimension
of understanding.

The story takes off
right after it grabs our attention
as well as our promise
to patiently see it through.

The story continues
to draw us deeper
into a new world
without easy answers
and into the lives of characters
we could never imagine.

The story moves us
beyond the world of our experience,
and reveals the many roles
we must assume throughout our lives.

The story never ends.
We may lose our place,
become distracted,
or momentarily refuse to listen.
Still we will always return
to it's mystical narrative
for wisdom and reassurance,
and to relive all our moments
in love and glory.
