New Awareness

New Awareness

There's a purpose in all this.

You and I,
we,
will never-ever
be lead too far astray,
whether our fear,
our strong will,
or our ignorance
leads us off course.

We will no doubt stumble
into all sorts of mayhem,
then stew like meat in a pot
as we wallow and wail
to the full moon
of our misery.

In the end
it will matter little
and will not concern
the dawning day
ready to welcome us
into the new awareness
our stumbling brings.
