People Come and Go

People Come and Go

Let 'em.

People come and go
through a revolving door
and into the atrium of my life.

Some just spin in the doorway
or choose to linger in the lobby.

Others visit with regularity
until their schedule changes.

Some prefer to look around
then invite me to their place.

Those who decided to stay
offer me an opportunity to encounter
the multitudes already living within.

Few there are that will endure a true friend.
~ Henry George Bohn
