Life on the Road

Life on the Road

I've been everywhere.

Look around.

You've come a long way.

Has the road been strait and narrow?

Or has it been winding and uncertain?

Has that day already past
when you went round the bend
and encountered yourself in the mist?

The road is the road
through wide open spaces
and tunnels lined with thorns.

Whether paved or muddy
the road is taking you somewhere.

So many roads.
So many detours.
So many choices.
So many mistakes.
~ Sarah Jessica Parker
