Once We Get There

Once We Get There

...we're good there.

Let us do
whatever it is
we are going to do.

It does not matter.
We will always stumble
into something.

Our doing
may break bones
and stop beating hearts.

Our doing
may sprout new love
and soothe the soul.

Our doing
may offer us delirious joy,
tedious suffering,
 or sheer boredom;
all of which can help us
understand the weighty burden
of our lives being used
in mysterious ways.

Peace...
Once we get there,
we're good there.

If we are always arriving and departing,
it is also true that we are eternally anchored.
One's destination is never a place
but rather a new way of looking at things.

~ Henry Miller
