Worry

Worry

What, me worry?

I believe we're all worriers,
but maybe not always
about the same things.

I worry
if when the sun comes up
I'll be ready to greet it.

I worry
about all the people
having space enough to live.

I worry
about life's many challenges
and my ability to face them.

I worry
when I feel out of control
and can do little about it.

I often seem to be worrying
simply for the sake of worry.

Maybe I just need a break,
to bring the dog to the park
or to meet a friend for drink,
so I can let go of all my worries.

I never worry about being driven to drink;
I just worry about being driven home.
~ W. C. Fields
