Compromise

Compromise

Is there another option?

There is a Chinese proverb which says:
When angry don't go to law,
when hungry don't make verses.

Allow me to share how deeply
the wisdom within these words
confronts my own anger
and feeds my deepest hunger.

Don't we often do
as we're cautioned not to?

Now when I am angry
I write these verses,
and when I am hungry
I change the laws.

Compromise is the best and cheapest lawyer.
