Truth and the Soul

Truth and the Soul

...are everywhere you look.

Truth is unmistakable.
You will know it,
whether by the weight
it places upon your chest
intensifying each breath,
or by the way it strips you
naked of your defenses
with nowhere left to hide.

Truth may be offered
by a friend or foe,
yet always carries
a burdensome load.

You may live in a house
but you must tear it down
to see the sun and the moon,
to feel the wind and the rain,
to understand the truth
of who you really are,
and by the grace of knowing
become who you are meant to be.

 The truth is incontrovertible.
Malice may attack it,
ignorance may deride it,
but in the end,
there it is.
~ Winston Churchill
