Timeless Truth

Timeless Truth

Forgive me the obvious.

I must remind myself often
there is no right way,
or else end up sacrificed
on the altar of perfection.

For the time being
I am done wandering.
I encountered my shadow
on overcrowded highways,
abandoned logging roads,
and in the mirror.

Now I can no longer care
whether I am judged harshly.
I try my best to see this world
through an open heart.

My soul is awakened
and reveals to me eternity
in the timeless movement
of great celestial bodies.

At long last I am free
to go about my business
knowing God will use
my imperfect love
perfectly.

You have your way. I have my way.
As for the right way, the correct way,
and the only way, it does not exist.
~ Friedrich Nietzsche
