Trusting Uncertainty

Trusting Uncertainty

...is the cornerstone of faith.

Strange dreams lead
to an unsettled awakening,
and to feeling stranded
far from my home.

Everything seems normal
as I go about my daily routine
in familiar surroundings.
And yet I cannot find within
safe ground to rest upon.

This is when age-old spirits
are called into service.
They whisper into my ear,
Trust the uncertainty.
You can trust the uncertainty.

All I have seen teaches me to trust the creator
for all I have not seen.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
