We're All Poets

We're All Poets

...moonlighting by day.

We're all poets.
You and I know this.
Some of us use words,
others a handful of notes,
and still others
beautiful movements.

Have you met the poet making coffee?
Or the one driving for Uber?
Maybe your poet pours beer,
then listens to how your day went.

There is no better medicine
for the long, sleepless nights,
and for learning to let go,
than the ways we embody poetry
so our souls may be set free.

If you want poets in space,
you'll have to wait.
~ Buzz Aldrin
