One in the Same
One in the Same
...like night and day.
Whatever I offer this world
is returned to me this morning
in resounding claps of thunder
and bursts of fiery lightning
right outside my window.
I welcome the wind.
I bless the rain.
Water eventually comes
to those who are thirsty.
It's from stillness
the wind begins to blow,
and then back into stillness
where the wind goes to rest.
The wet and the dry,
the quiet and the loud,
the strong and the weak,
the painful and pleasurable,
are all one in the same.
I have two pairs of reading glasses.
One pair is for reading fiction,
the other for non-fiction.
I've read the Bible twice wearing each pair,
and it's the same.
