Rest Assured
Rest Assured
...you are not God.
Most of us never rest
until we have arrived
at the limit of our control,
gone beyond the boundaries
of our finite understanding,
and felt the terrible pain
of letting go.
But oh how sweet it is
to awaken powerless!
What freedom it allows
for us to become human,
that being our soul desires,
reborn just the right size
to do what is ours to do.
Rest assured
you are not God.
