Let's Move

...or get out of the way!

Just as water seeks a level,
so too do the many forces
invisibly working in the world.

Our entire planet is balanced
between the light of day
and the dark of night.

It rests at the right temperature
from the sweltering Equator
to the frigid Antarctic.

It knows the right mixture
of oxygen to carbon dioxide,
salt to fresh water,
and desert to forest land.

Whenever imbalance disrupts
this energetic harmony,
benevolent forces emerge
to both restore and recreate
the stabilizing mechanisms
which allow for a new equilibrium.

Sadly, it's just as natural
for forces to resist the call
to adapt and to change.

Yet when inevitability comes knocking,
everyone must find a way to move
or get the hell out of the way.
