Right Here, Right Now

...is the place to be.

I know, oh I know,
when I'm blocking the flow,
stifling the spirit,
holding up the show.

Here,
but really anywhere,
is the last place I want to be,
alone with my thoughts.

I used to just go
wherever wit and whim
would carry me,
but I never got very far
until I stopped moving.

The biggest questions
are all easily answered
with patience and presence,
right here, right now.

Absence sharpens love,
presence strengthens it.
