Approach God
...carefully.
The wise know
you'll need just a taste,
and that long before
you open your mouth,
God will likely devour you.
The further removed you are
from the day you were born,
the easier it is to forget:
God does not dissolve into you,
instead you will merge with God.
Like the flame of a candle,
you came here to burn
and offer light to the darkness,
before being extinguished
by the breath of the eternal.

the sacrifice of self-will to make room for the knowledge of God.
