Testify!

I need your witness.

All reason is in revolt!

My soul bribes the bailiff
who comes to release me.

At my interrogation
I am asked why it is
I demand reason.

Timidly I respond,

Is it reasonable
to accept poverty,
to accept torture
to let people die,
to destroy this planet,
to go on with living
as we've lived for too long?

Who can argue
with reason‽
