Pet Alligator PSA

Do not get a pet alligator
if you need something to hold
or something to hold you.

Do not get a pet alligator
if you also enjoy the company
of friends and family.

Do not get a pet alligator
if you have small children
and little animals at home.

Do not get a pet alligator
and allow it to roam freely
unless you can sleep with one eye open.

Do not get a pet alligator
to make a point
about how tough you are.

Do not get a pet alligator
expecting it will change
into something domestic and cuddly.

Do not get a pet alligator.
Just put it out of your mind
and have a good laugh instead.

Don’t taunt the alligator until after you’ve crossed the creek.
Dan Rather
