Poets Wanted
There are many great books of prose,
but what this epoch requires is poetry
delivered by ordinary prophets
who trade in verse and stillness,
while absorbing all the cacophony
as they inspire others to contemplative action
through a practice called love.
“Poets utter great and wise things which they do not themselves understand.”
