Soulful Pilgrim

Soulful Pilgrim

Open then wander.

Leave the door open
and something will enter.
The world is full
of some things seen
and most things unseen.

Know your heart as this door,
where you stand defiant,
wielding a huge stick.

Know also
this entry is too large
for you to defend
from all who will come
to share your heart space.

So go forth in and out,
through the portal of your love.
Become a soulful pilgrim
seeking safe entry
into the hearts of others.

Your task is not to seek for love,
but merely to seek and find
all the barriers within yourself
that you have built against it.
