Love
Love
...everywhere and growing.
Some say it in song,
others say it in dance.
Many repeat it in church,
while others whisper it in school.
I like to write it down
hoping you like to read it.
I know a few who photograph it,
and maybe one or two who paint it.
Almost everyone talks about it,
but no one would describe it the same.
Some might point at the moon,
whereas others feel it in their veins.
You might encounter it in the forest,
or in the excitement of your devoted dog.
Everyone has once glimpsed it
or suffered it's gnawing absence.
But it's never gone too far,
only that we stray from the source.
Of course you know what I'm talking about,
you've been wearing it all day long.
When you arise in the morning,
think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive -
to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.
~ Marcus AureliusLove is a fruit in season at all times,
and within reach of every hand.
