Adoption Day
Gotta have faith...
Today we may adopt
another dog,
and so I'm sitting,
wondering:
who's more nervous,
me or that dog?
For many years,
I believed I knew exactly
what I needed, and
how much I had
to give in return.
I was often wrong.
So today I step back
and pray that I will allow,
kind spirits to show me
the way forward.
