At Home

At Home

...is where love begins.

Not since I was a child
have I felt that profound sense
of love and of being right at home,
nor now being so long removed,
felt such a longing to get it back.

The sentiment I call home
must at times ebb and flow
as I journey through my life,
and at various stages need
the grounding that comes
from a place to call home.

When I can trust
all is exactly as it should be,
then there is no place on Earth
I will not be at home.

Where thou art, that is home.
~ Emily Dickinson
