Beer

Beer

Can I pour you one?

Beer.

I'd like a beer
maybe some fresh air
too much to know
the world a blur
reminds me to do less
no need to peacock
just take a deep breath
think blue
now green
not red
definitely purple
that deep saturated
velvety warmth
reminds me of something
familiar to touch
faded into the past
a good day
or maybe just an hour
oh how could I forget
it comes through sound
ping-clank-bong
already trailing off
like a bird at the shore.

Is that sea foam
or my beer?

Milk is for babies.
When you grow up you have to drink beer.
