Newton's Cradle

Newton's Cradle

For every action, there is...

Why is it
when I push
you resist,
and when you push
I resist?

This great energy,
embodied in our being,
actively imposes itself
or passively holds the line
over and over again
trillions of times each day,
all while keeping our world
in a precarious stalemate.

It took only one step
for me to realize
what I resist persists.

But only after the twelfth,
did I come to realize
by letting go of my will,
an infinite energy
would flow through me.

The best criticism of the bad is the practice of the better.
Oppositional energy only creates more of the same.
