Nightcall

Nightcall

...trusting some deeper intuition...

The new day
may come calling
at any hour
after midnight.

I'm often suspicious
when awakened prematurely
by a rumbling in my tummy
and an unsettled mind.

I don't know what you'd do,
but I don't like to remain
lying awake in the darkness.

C'mon, get up!
says the new day.
Why debate whether
your gut can be trusted?

So I heed that nightcall,
and begin my day early.

Faith is a passionate intuition.
